Hi! I’m Jen, a fellow licensed therapist, dreamer, and community creator.

Much like you, I was looking for ways to diversify my income as I noticed the slow burn from being a therapist in the pandemic. It was difficult to support my clients while I was also trying to process what was happening. 

I knew I needed respite from one-on-one therapy but also knew I didn’t have the energy to create a  group practice. The obvious next step was to create an evergreen course. So I did my research and then felt immediately intimidated on how to build an audience, record and host my program, to then market it in hopes that my efforts would make a profit.

Why did it have to be so hard? It was then that I realized that I could solve this problem for myself AND for my therapist friends. By developing an app that allows diverse therapists to combine forces, share their powerful courses and resources with the world, we can all experience more passive income and create resources that help others while honoring our own energy needs.

    Develop your course script and workbooks based on HWGT’s helpful templates and supportive feedback.

    Record your course and other promotional materials that will introduce HWGT customers to you on a deeper level.

  • STEP 4:

    The HWGT team will edit and upload your course with your introduction video onto the app along with your practice information so customers can find and hire you outside of the app.

    The HWGT team will promote the app and your course through social media, podcasts, and our youtube channel, so you can sit back and relax as people around the world find your helpful mental health resources.

What Will Be Featured On The App?

 

Short Course Videos

Each course is a combination of three, 10-min videos. All courses on the app will be provided in video, audio, or transcript form.

The HWGT team will professionally create and upload all forms of media so you don't have to.

Workbook & Journal Sections

With your course, HWGT provides workbook templates to encourage self reflection and deeper work with your material. These templates are formatted for you to pick and choose the type of questions that best compliments your course.

The journal section is where users can freely write anything they want pertaining to their journey or what they are learning.

How You Connect with Users

Each contributor will have an introduction video with their course so the customer can get to know, like, and trust you.

On your course page, you will have your business contact information, any social media links that you want to drive traffic towards, and a link to your website.

  • How We Get Thru is a platform that hosts short, tangible mental health courses for self help seekers. Customers will feel supported, seen and guided through many different obstacles in life. The app is subscription based, either annually or monthly, and curates content to the user based on the information that they provide in their profile. The app also acts as a directory in which anyone can learn more, or contact the educators.

  • The subjects featured in these videos have similar themes that come up in therapy; however, educators are solely providing information on the “how” and “why” of the problem. Within the courses, self reflection may be encouraged however there isn’t any emotional processing exchanged between the educator and the customer. We also strongly believe in the therapeutic relationship and act as an additional resource to work done within the therapy room, if applicable.

  • Our target audience are people who have exerted all their self help resources and are looking for new and different ways of receiving information. They are deep and independent thinkers that will do the work necessary when it is given straight to the point, without the fluff. They are able to build more self awareness from their own curiosity of others and their relationships.

  • After you record your course, you will be paid $200 through Venmo.

    Users can either sign up for a subscription or purchase a course al a carte.

    When your course is purchased on its own, you will receive 50% of the purchase price of $49.99.

    When a user subscribes to the app using your affiliate link, you will receive 35% of their 6 month ($69.99) or annual (119.99) subscription.

  • Once you have completed the application, you will receive an email with the next step of scheduling a 20 minute consultation with Jen to answer any questions, solidify your course content, and book a recording date. Expect filming to take 4 hours which includes promotional material as well.

  • Upon signing the contract, we will set a film date and set due dates for your script 4 weeks prior to your film date. The due dates help provide supportive feedback and break up the work load. This script can be used on a teleprompter when recording to help you stay on track.

  • Yes! We have provided beautiful workbook templates and have in-house videographers that takes care of lighting, filming, sound and directing. After you record your course, the HWGT team will edit and upload the content to the app. If you live outside of California, we can send you a filming kit and provide live support while filming. We want you to have the most supportive experience working with us.

  • Due to rights within the app, we suggest re-recording your material to streamline content on the app and to make sure there is a version that only exists for HWGT.

  • While you own the intellectual property of your material, HWGT will obtain certain rights to your content as it pertains to being on or off the platform. This means you are not permitted to create the same course and sell it through your own website.

  • Yes! All of your social media and practice information will be listed under your course as well as in the directory. Hosting a course on HWGT is a great way to lead back to your website to promote any other products you might have.
